I am very honored to help Laszlo Kupai, my former player, to chase his dreams and make a step forward in his basketball career and also in his life. Laci (as we call Laszlo) has always had a dream to be great basketball player and his big motivation is to make next step to NCAA basketball.

I first met Laci at youth national team selection; he was 14 years old and I could see that the boy was really talented. At that time I worked with players born in 2006; Laci played for team in Budapest, being unstoppable in every game. It was obvious that if he wanted to make a step forward, he needed to practice every day with same level players. I was very happy that he decided to join my team and immediately became one of the key players. We had many successes in the Hungarian championship and also internationally, Laci was part of U16 national team, receiving many awards as the best player of the team after games or tournaments. After the 2022/23 season Laci decided to make step forward, and joined the CBA Academy in Spain, where he continues to show his talent. This also means to me that he wants to be the best basketball player he can be.

When I think about Laci and basketball together, I can find one word - passion. He has a great passion for the game he loves, working very hard every day, and is very coachable. He also wants to learn the tactics and theory of the game. He has great mentality, basically for any kind of sport; he is a winner and wants to win every game he plays, and is not scared to take important shots at important moments. I am sure that every coach would love to have such a player and person in the team.

At this moment, I am sure he is ready to make another step forward, ready both mentally and psychologically. His family supports him to make his dreams come true and I will be very proud to see him showing his talent and personality in college basketball.
